Green Button Directory℠ Includes Utilities, Third-Party Solution Providers, and Vendors Leveraging Standards-based Green Button Energy-Usage Data; Supports Awareness and Deployment of Energy-Management and Clean-Energy Solutions

September 27, 2024 - The Green Button Alliance (GBA), which fosters the development, compliance, and adoption of the industry’s Green Button energy and water data-access and -sharing protocol, today unveiled its Green Button Directory Services℠ (GBDS). The Green Button Directory℠ is three comprehensive, searchable listings of utilities, community choice aggregators (CCAs), municipalities, & co-ops; third-party apps & services providers; and utility-platform vendors that offer utility solutions leveraging the industry’s secure, Green Button Energy and Water Data-Access and -Sharing standard. The Green Button Directory enables users to easily locate solutions utilizing Green Button standardized utility data, while supporting awareness and deployment of new energy-management and clean-energy solutions.

Green Button Directory Services (GBDS):

  • The GBDS is a free resource, maintained by the GBA, that includes a continuously updated listing of Green Button implementations and Green Button Certified℠ solutions.
  • Utilities can easily locate a variety of third-party energy-management and clean-energy solutions for onboarding with their Green Button Connect My Data® (CMD) platforms.
  • Third-Party Solution Providers can find utilities, CCAs, municipalities, and co-ops that provide secure, standards-based Green Button electricity-, natural gas-, and water-usage data to their customers and their customers’ authorized solution providers.
  • Customers, including Residential, Commercial, and Industrial customers, can easily determine if their local utilities offer standardized Green Button usage and billing data, access direct links to those utility pages, and find Green Button solution-enabled apps and services that work with their local utilities.
  • Utility-Platform Providers: Utilities interested in providing Green Button Connect My Data or Download My Data® solutions can easily research solutions in the Directory’s Platform Providers listing.

“The Green Button Alliance’s Green Button Directory Services bring together data-sharing platforms and services into a single, up-to-the-minute resource; allowing users to easily locate the ideal solutions for their analytics, reporting, and energy-management needs,” said Jeremy J. Roberts, Executive Director, Green Button Alliance. “By connecting utilities, third-parties, and vendors—and enabling customers to find direct links to the right pages on utility and third-party websites—the Directory helps to support the utility data-access and data-sharing needs of the energy-management and clean-energy markets.”

The Green Button Directory is now available to the public as a free resource and is being updated continually as utility and third-party company listing-approvals are received.

The Green Button Directory is open to all utilities, solution providers, and utility-platform vendors serving their customers with Green Button solutions.
