GBA Announces New Technical Education and Pre-Certification Testing Services
New Pre-Certification Services Cost-Effectively Support and Speed Green Button Certified™

July 6, 2023 - The Green Button Alliance (GBA), which fosters the development, compliance, and adoption of the industry-standard Green Button® energy and water data-access and -sharing protocol, today announced new Technical Education and Pre-Certification services designed to assist utilities (electric, natural gas, and water) and vendors to utilities in developing and readying solutions that will comply to the latest version of the standard, version 3.3, in advance of submitting those solutions for Green Button Certification testing.
The new Pre-Certification services are offered in addition to GBA’s existing Green Button Connect My Data® (CMD), Green Button Download My Data® (DMD), and Combination CMD+DMD Certification testing services, and help to cost-effectively support and speed ‘Green Button Certified’ utility solutions to market.
New Pre-Certification Services Availability
The GBA offers the industry’s only Green Button Connect My Data (CMD) and Green Button Download My Data Testing and Certification program for data custodians including utilities, community choice aggregators (CCAs), municipalities; and vendors to utilities.
The new Pre-Certification Testing services are available to companies who have already purchased a Green Button Certification Testing session. GBA’s new services are now available and can be reviewed or purchased online.
